DR. DAVID J. SOBEL
Dr. Sobel has served as a clinical investigator for some of the major U.S. contact lens manufacturers working with new contact lens materials, designs and pharmaceutical products. He has also co-authored many articles for professional journals and has lectured on a variety of eye care topics.
On December 9, 2002, Dr. Sobel began practicing along side Michael Bosson of Bosson Optical, bringing over 30 years of clinical experience and “Excellence in Eye Care”.
Dr. Sobel is a specialist in custom fitting technologies most advanced contact lenses. Over the past 30 years, Dr. Sobel has cared for an international patient population made up of physicians, scientists, attorneys, politicians, writers, photographers, musicians, professional athletes, actors/actresses and TV Sports & Newscasters.
Before moving to Connecticut, Dr. Sobel interned at the Pediatric Specialty Department of the Boston Eye Clinic. He also completed clinical fellowships in Contact Lenses & Ocular Pathology at both the Lahey Clinic & Boston University Medical Centers.
Dr. Sobel, graduated in the top 5% of his class from Rutgers College; receiving a BA Degree in Biological Sciences in 1979. Dr. Sobel graduated with “Honors” in 1984 from the prestigious New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts and is a Life Member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Fraternity.
