Dr. David J. Sobel O.D.  Excellence in Eye Care Since 1984

Dr. Sobel received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biological Sciences from Rutgers College (top 5% of his class) in1979. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts in 1984. He is a Life Member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Fraternity and has been in practice for over 30 years. Before moving to Connecticut, Dr. Sobel interned at the Pediatric Specialty Department of the Boston Eye Clinic. He also completed clinical fellowships in Contact Lenses & Ocular Pathology at both the Lahey Clinic & Boston University Medical Centers.

Dr. Sobel specializes in custom fitting technologies' most advanced contact lenses. He has served as a clinical investigator for several contact lens manufacturers -  working with new materials, designs and pharmaceutical products. Both a lecturer and author, he has been published in professional journals on a variety of eye care topics.
